Newsletter February 2020

This year has been very good to me (so far). As we approach Valentine’s Day, this is my Valentine’s Day card to you all.

I have won several awards for my paintings, sold a few of them (and we are only into the second and was privileged to exhibit two paintings in the Cornell Museum, Delray Beach Spotlight Gallery, Plein Air Palm Beach Nocturnal & Magic Hour Exhibition.

My teaching art has become an inspiration for me and will continue to do so as I prepare for my Workshop in South France, this July. It is located in the region of Perigord, Dordongne, Quercy and it is beautiful scenery, lodging, food and I can’t say enough about the wine! Space is limited, so please call me if you are interested. Deadline to register is mid April.

My classes at the Boca Raton Museum Art School is ongoing, and it seems that the students really enjoy my style of teaching and their style of learning. We all have fun!

Exhibitions are also ongoing, just finishing up a Plein Air Palm Beach Exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum Art School of paintings done in and around “Old Floresta” area of Boca Raton, with homes built in the Mizner era. They are so ‘old Florida’!

I have two paintings being exhibited at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, with a reception this Sunday, February 16th, from 2-4. If you are in the area, please join us!

Upcoming is another Plein Air Palm Beach exhibit at the New Studio of the Visual Arts in Jupiter, Florida, where I will again be exhibiting. Wow, it get busy ‘in season’ down here in South Florida, but we do get rest when the rest of the country gets their summer season.

We just finished the Plein Air Palm Beach ‘Plein Fun Fest’ at the beginning of the month which I had helped organize for the past four years. It was fun but exhausting. I was honored to have received the Jack Richeson Merchandise Award for my painting, “Lake Ida Bridge”.

My daughter Elyce came down to visit for a few days (that was monumental because she hates Florida and heat and humidity) and we did some of the usual Mommy & Me stuff… pedicures, talks and cooking together. OH JOY!! We even got to have dinner with her two uncles!
